ALPHA RHO CHAPTER HISTORY
Below you will find images and information regarding our history!
Fall 1974 - USF Sarasota joins the state university system.
Fall 2006 - USF Sarasota-Manatee holds its first day of classes on its new campus.
Spring 2013 - USF Sarasota-Manatee begins admitting freshmen and sophomores under a plan approved by the Board of Regents and the Legislature to offer more classes for underclassmen. Students can take all the classes they need at Sarasota and earn a 4-year degree there.
Spring 2014 - The Alpha Rho [AP] Chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega® was founded at the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee by five inspiring women. Our founding members are Emily Edwards, Amanda Thomas, Brianna "Brie" Fah, Morgan O'Brien, and Lindsey Brown. These women had a desire to bring a Christian community for young women on campus, through the lifelong bond of a sisterhood. Today, we continue their legacy by welcoming women each semester through recruitment.
