Consistent with our Founders' thoughts over 20 years ago, our primary purpose is to encourage one another to grow in love through life in Christ. Together, we pursue the Biblical ideals of Christian leadership, sisterhood, spiritual development, campus leadership, good scholarship, fine standards, service, and excellence. We enjoy Christian fellowship through Bible studies, service projects, social activities, and more. Sisterhood:
The unique joys of sisterhood found in Sigma Alpha Omega® membership are boundless. Finding your big sis, studying together, going to church together, having someone to share your worries and your dreams are treasured moments. Women with the same goals and ideals create a sisterhood of mutual respect. This bond of friendship which begins in college will last a lifetime.

​Leadership:
Sigma Alpha Omega® provides many leadership development opportunities for its members. Each member can be a part of the management of the chapter through humbling yet empowering roles such as executive board, committee leaders and chairwomen. Time management and administrative skills are sharpened through conventions, teleconferences, and chapter experiences.

​Service:
Sigma Alpha Omega®'s sisters are dedicated and creative in finding ways to serve in their communities and campuses. Each year, hundreds of sisters and alumnae donate time, money and talent to our national philanthropy, Ovarian Cancer, as well as various organizations. Our national service week is in February where sisters spread encouraging messages on campus, organize food and clothing drives, and make cards for hospital patients and nursing home residents. We are proud to say that the college experience is enhanced by Sigma Alpha Omega®'s strong commitment to serving others.
